Celebrating Impact from 2025 at 4 the Love of BBP
Last Tuesday we celebrated all the people who made an impact with us in 2025! 4 the Love of BBP was a casual event with live music, good conversation, and refreshments from Lost Grove Brewing. We also celebrated a few specific people and organizations who moved our mission forward:
Anika Bennett - Bull Moose Award - Employee of the Year
Anika started as a mechanic at BBP and is now our Programs Coordinator. She is a team member known for welcoming people into our shop space, leading youth programming, and more! We are extremely grateful to have her on the team.
Dawn Sauve & Laura Halverson - Volunteers of the Year
Dawn and Laura help us every Friday with administrative tasks and “grunt work” - addressing envelopes, cleaning tags, cutting print materials, hanging posters, and more. They fuel so much of what happens at BBP behind the scenes!
Eric Straubhar - Stoker of the Year
If you’ve seen a BBP video in 2025, it was most likely created by local videographer, Eric Straubhar. He has visually helped us share what we do with tens of thousands of people!
Dawson Taylor Coffee - Business Stoker of the Year
Outside of being our morning coffee stop, Dawson Taylor continuously supports us & the people we serve with coffee and services, including giving away free hot cocoa to families at the Holiday Kids Bike Giveaway.
SHIFT Idaho - Advocate of the Year
ITD’s SHIFT Idaho continues to promote safe driving practices and was a huge supporter in the creation of the Boise Bicycle Project Traffic Garden - a huge milestone for Boise!
Each of these people and organizations have done a tremendous job moving our mission forward. They helped us reach many milestones in 2025, which can be seen in our newly released 2025 annual report. We encourage you to take a look! Inside, you’ll find highlights from a year of growth, including expanding Shifting Gears into a second facility, deepening our work with incarcerated women, celebrating the 15,000th bike given to a local child, and bringing new community spaces to life through our first traffic garden and second annual Open Streets Boise.
