You Showed the Power of a Joyful and Connected Community During Idaho Gives- THANK YOU!
Whisper giving her son a bike she built in the Shifting Gears Program
A HUGE thank you to our community of volunteers, members, donors, and all the other good folks who came together last week to power another successful Idaho Gives fundraising campaign! Together, we were able to raise an astonishing $130,610 from an incredible 523 donors!
Along the way, you also helped us spread the word about the work that BBP does every single day in our community - whether that’s facilitating a mom and her son reunited via our Shifting Gears programs, running a BASH safety training and bicycle giveaway for young people in our community, after school programs for teens - it’s all another week in the life of BBP’s programming that our community powers! We cannot state enough how much we appreciate your championship of our programs and how much we do not take the support of our community for granted - we truly appreciate you!
With a successful Idaho Gives in our rear view, we’re pivoting our attention to celebrating during National Bike Month - where amongst other things, we’re holding a “Freewheel Frenzy” alleycat race, an open house to share updates on Boise’s pathway-building efforts, a field day bringing bike repairs & safety course to Duck Valley Reservation with our partners in the Shoshone Paiute tribal government, are supporting the Challenged Athlete Foundation’s Mountain Bike Apex weekend at Bogus Basin, and much more. You can see what we have coming up on our calendar here.
As always, you’re invited to join the ride alongside this joyful and connected community that we’re building together here in Boise, one bike at a time, one person at a time!
With gratitude,
Devin McComas, Executive Director
