I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico – acquiring a love for breakfast burritos, roasted green chile, and bikes. I attended the University of New Mexico, earning a degree in environmental science. While attending UNM, I participated in an ill-fated attempt to revive the UNM cycling team that resulted in more lifelong friends than race victories.

After meeting my wife in New Mexico, our family settled in Boise (my wife’s home town). Since arriving in Idaho, I earned a Masters in Public Administration from BSU, worked for Boise State’s Energy Policy Institute, and landed my dream job at the BBP! I am excited to contribute to BBP because I have seen the sense of agency riding and fixing bikes gives folks. I hope people leave the BBP with working bikes and the sense they can do anything!

When not working on bikes, I spend most of my time with the family (wife, 5 year-old daughter, and 3 year-old daughter). We spend a lot of time at the park, in the back yard, and reading books. I ride a re-made in the BBP 1990-something Specialized Stumpjumper set up with a 3x1 drivetrain -- it’s great.  On off days, I can be found toting the kids in a Madsen cargo bike while trying to keep up with my wife.
