Sam Gilbert

After growing up in the Chicago area, Sam’s deep passion for the outdoors and adventure led him to the Great American West. He has spent the majority of his adulthood working in outdoor education through Colorado, Utah, and California. Sam has found most fulfillment from nurturing small communities in both professional and social settings, and his pursuit of such has helped shape every decision he’s made.

In moving to Boise and becoming involved with BBP, Sam is beyond excited to further the culture of kindness, connection, and support that is readily apparent in the shop as well as throughout the city. Sam is psyched to be the head of the volunteer dragon, and support the community as much as he possibly can. When not in the shop, Sam can be found shooting hoops, finding ways to the tops of tall structures, and refining his creamy sundried tomato gnocchi recipe.
