Born & raised in Boise Potato Capitol USA!
After I graduated high school I worked with Americorps NCCC, spending 10 months roaming the US with 10 other weirdos being weird. We were camp counselors in Michigan, gutted flood damaged homes in Iowa and Indiana, worked with the National Special Olympic games in Nebraska, and rebuilt houses damaged by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.
In 2012 I did a cross country bike tour with an organization called Bike and Build. The tour raised money and awareness of the affordable housing crisis in the US. We spent 16 days working on Habitat for Humanity houses, pedaled 4,200 miles, and ate a lot of peanut butter.
I have dreams of doing more bike touring, perhaps a self-supported tour one day when I am less afraid of crying in public.
