Ways to volunteer this month:
- Kids' Fix-It Night (Second and Fourth Tuesday of the month)
- Potluck September 25th
- Volunteer Nights (every Tuesday and Thursday)
- Kids' BASH (September 8th)
- One-Day Bike Drive sponsored by Primary Health
Kids’ Fix-It Nights are an opportunity for youth (ages 4-18) to come in and work alongside volunteers/staff for free! These kids’ specific events take place the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. If you don’t feel comfortable working on bikes, bring in some food! This month’s potluck will take place September 25th.
Come join us every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8 pm for Volunteer Night. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, serve your community, and learn more about bikes! Getting your hands dirty is truly the best way to expand your bike knowledge. Come get your hands greasy with us down at the shop!
Even though it is only September, we are already gearing up for our Christmas Kids’ Bike Give-away. It all starts with a One-Day Bike Drive hosted by Primary Health Medical Group. All bikes go directly to the Boise Bicycle Project to be refurbished, resold, and/or recycled. Last year, we collected over 1,000 bikes! This year, we are looking for volunteers to help with the collection of said bikes. Do you have a truck and/or trailer and would be willing to help us out? Great! Do you feel comfortable driving a Uhaul? Boom! This event takes place on September 29th from 10-2pm. Come on down! Go to our “Volunteer Opportunities” tab on the BBP website to sign-up. Also, go to http://www.primaryhealth.com/our-clinics to see if any of the pick-up locations are near you.
