We encourage potential volunteers to participate in a volunteer orientation if they haven’t volunteered at BBP before. Folks looking for group volunteer projects may contact our Volunteer Coordinator at: firstname.lastname@example.org for more info on how to get a team involved.
And be sure to check out our full listing of special volunteer opportunities below!
Here in Boise, May is typically jam packed with cycle centric events and activities and 2018 will be no different! Kicking things off is the annual Idaho Gives program, encouraging local non-profits to participate in an effort to grow awareness and resources for our collective missions. BBP will be biking around interviewing non-profit leaders and posting videos of these talks to social media. That’s where you come in. If anyone has, or knows someone who has, audio/video editing skills and would like to put them to good use on Thursday, the 3rd, please contact our volunteer coordinator, at email@example.com, to get plugged in.
May also happens to be National Bike Month and we’ll be continuing to crank up our youth programs in an effort to get more kids excited about biking! With things warming up outside, our Mobile Fix-It program is really picking up and we’re always looking to bring more volunteers into the mix. Whether you’ve got some mechanical skills or would simply like to help facilitate, we’ve got a spot for you!
Sticking with the topic of youth on bikes, BBP’s Kids B.A.S.H. for May will be on Saturday, the 12th, from 9-11am. For those not familiar, the Kids B.A.S.H. (bicycle and safety hour) is a monthly give-away where, with the help of our stellar volunteer team, we're able to donate 30-40 bikes back to our community's youth. Kids receive not only a bicycle, but also a helmet, a bike lock and lights, then complete a safety course before taking the bike home! Find volunteer sign-up info for the B.A.S.H. here.
