We encourage potential volunteers to participate in a volunteer orientation if they haven’t volunteered at BBP before. Folks looking for group volunteer projects may contact our Volunteer Coordinator at: email@example.com for more info on how to get a team involved.
And be sure to check out our full listing of special volunteer opportunities below!
Mobile Fix-It is in full swing now that the warmer weather is upon us. This month, BBP will be at both Whitney and Garfield elementary schools, as well as the Moseley Center Boys and Girls Club. Volunteer turnout has been good this season but we're always looking for more people that would like to lend a hand keeping our youth safe and confident on two wheels! Here's where you can find the dates, times, and locations as well as sign up for Mobile Fix-It shifts!
In other kids bike news, April is when we continue our monthly Kids B.A.S.H. program! And the first of 2018 will be on Saturday, the 14th, from 9-11am. For those not familiar, the Kids B.A.S.H. (bicycle and safety hour) is a monthly give-away where, with the help of our stellar volunteer team, we're able to donate 30-40 bikes back to our community's youth. Kids receive not only a bicycle, but also a helmet, a bike lock and lights, then complete a safety course before taking the bike home! Click here for a breakdown of the all the volunteer shifts and sign-up to lend a hand!
Sticking with the theme of kids on bikes, we will also be doing our inaugural Kids Bike Swap and Sale! If you've got a bike your child has outgrown, bring it down on Saturday, April 21st, from 11-3pm, to receive $10 off the purchase of one of our refurbished kids bikes!
