Weekly Update: Alive After Five, Bike-A-Thon Celebration & More!

Volunteer with BBP!

May is drawing to a close, but the volunteer opportunities at BBP are starting to pop off! This week we’re building momentum into the summer season and starting to prepare for some of our marquee events in June and beyond! Some things to look forward to this week (and future weeks) are…

Expanded Open-Hours Volunteer Shifts

As summer draws near we are receiving and incredible amount of donations, and to process these donations we rely on our incredible volunteer corps! The new volunteer area can accommodate up to four volunteers wrenching at the same time, so stop on in to see what the buzz is all about.

Alive After Five!

Speaking of buzz, our first day at Alive After Five is less than two weeks away. There are still slots available for all days, but we especially need volunteers for opening day, June 7th. Check out the Boise Downtown Association’s Facebook page for a complete listing of musical acts in June and sign up to enjoy some summer fun with the BBP volunteer crew.

Youth Earn-A-Bike

Join in the ruckus and help Adam, our Youth Coordinator, mentor kids between 12 and 18 as they learn to  overhaul, refurbish, and rebuild their very own bicycle. YEAB meets Tuesdays from 4:30 - 6:30 pm and Saturdays from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

BBP’s programs and events depend on our outstanding volunteers. I am looking forward to seeing all of you in the shop, or out and about at our events! Until then, happy trails.
