The Capital City Public Market on Saturday, May 20th. Hang out with Hayden, our Volunteer Coordinator, and assist with Bike Valet and DIY repairs at the market. There is a morning shift (9:30-11:30 am) and an afternoon shift (11:30 am to 1:30 pm) so you can still get all of your shopping handled.

Also, BBP is partnering with Alive After Five’s Tips for Charity initiative with a goal of raising $5000 for our volunteer programs. To do this we need one thing, volunteers! We need 24 people every Wednesday evening in June from 4:30 to 8:30 pm to help sell and pour drinks at Alive After Five. Sign-up now and don’t miss out on all the fun.

Member Perks & Highlights

Upcoming Member Class: Friday, May 19th 6:30-8pm:

Unlocking the Power of Your Cables and Housing: Inspecting/Servicing Brake and Shifter Cable Systems (Bring Your Own Bike)

Most people forget to check their cables and housing when they’re experiencing shifting or braking problems, but it should be the first thing you check. Cable housing is like a garden hose and your cables are like the water flowing through it, the more kinks and obstructions in the hose the worse the water flows.

In this class, we will teach you how to check your cables and housing for kinks and obstructions and replace/lubricate them if needed. Everyone will leave this class with smoother cable system and a free DIY housing tool.
