About: Boise Bicycle Project

Boise Bicycle Project would like to meet you, in fact we need you and your support. This is what we believe in.......... In a perfect world, everyone (regardless of income) would have access to a strong running bicycle that they could be proud of. By recycling used bikes and bike parts BBP strives to make this access attainable.

BBP is an aspiring community bike shop that operates as a program under the non-profit organization, Idaho Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health. Currently, BBP is seeking funding through grants to operate a space to store donated bikes, fix bikes, teach members of the community about bicycle repair, and to get bikes to those who can't afford them.

There are many kids in our community that need bicycles, but can’t afford them. Kids are a major focus at B.B.P. Through donations and volunteer programs we strive to get more kids on bicycles at no monetary cost.

Many bikes are sent and buried in the landfill when they become unfixable. B.B.P. takes the environmentally friendly aspect of cycling to the next level by recycling these bikes and their parts in order to build better stronger bikes.

Through the building of partnerships with other like-minded organizations we hope to be a more complete service to the entire community. BBP. is a non-specific bike shop. We welcome road cyclist, mountain bikers, BMX, fixed gears, cruisers, and all other bicycle sub-cultures. We seek to close the gaps that separate these cultures. By creating an exciting social community bicycle center.
