About the events Pedal for the People is a new 2 week event in Boise, celebrating all of the pedal powered people in the Valley. The idea of Pedal for the People is to bring the many subcultures of the cycling community together for two weeks of DIY (Do It Yourself) bike events. That means that you come up with the events, you do all the planning, and you throw the party. What we do is put your event on a calendar for everyone to see. And we put 100s of other peoples events for you to check out. __________ BBP is going to kick it all off on June 9th with HELLADROME 2 (a spectators dream and a riders velodrome from hell). BBP is also hosting a Block Party grand finale on June 23rd. The rest is up to you! __________ Need some ideas? Just summon your inner super hero. How about the World Naked Bike Ride on June 11th? Someone has to do it right? Who’s going to step up to the plate on this one? Log on to worldnakedbikeride.org it even tells you how to set it up! Or how about a hill climb on kids bikes? Or just a bike ride to a BBQ. Anything goes folks, (serious or silly) (extreme or tame) (all ages or adults) (fast or slow) HAVE FUN WITH IT __________ Submitting an event is free. If you want to charge a fee for your own event, that is fine but make sure people know a head of time (we will do this for you if you give us the info on the form). Want to get your philanthropy on? BBP is running a Biking for Buying the Building campaign. If you do charge a fee, or want to set up a donation jug, and donate it to BBP, we will gladly take it and use it towards making BBP a permanent fixture in Boise. If not, no big deal. ___________ FAQs Can I double book an event? YES. Can I host more than one event? YES, BUT ONE GREAT EVENT IS BETTER TWO CRAPPY ONES.
