Board Member - Nancy Pape’
Born and raised in the hills above UC Berkeley.
I've been riding a bike since I was old enough to pedal, safe to say, a long time ago! The mechanics of a bike have always intrigued me and I love tools, so getting involved with the BBP was just a matter of time.
Future Goal: Someday I would love to build a bike.
What I’m riding on: There are a number of bikes in my stable; an Orbea, a Yeti and a red cruiser, but as we wait for the snow to fly, I spend most of my days on a beautiful, bespoke CX bike. One of these days I'll learn to manage those crazy barriers and the sand!

Where you grew up: I was raised all over the mountains of Idaho. My Dad was a Forest Service Fire Management Officer, and we lived at Ranger Stations in Northern Idaho outside of St. Maries, and on the Salmon River. I graduated High school from Emmett, after which I spent four years in the military, and returned to Emmett. I refuse to grow up.
Background in biking: I can’t ever remember not having a bike. The bike served not only as my transportation, but my entertainment, and often times my escape. Give a kid a bike and let the adventure begin. As a big person, I’ve rode in several local multi, and single day charity rides.
Future Goal: I hope to do a multiday bike tour with good friends somewhere really cool like France or Idaho. I also plan to become a realy good bike mechanic. Also, I think I’d like to live in a world where folks preferred bikes over cars.
What I’m riding on: Right now, my go too bike is a Super Sweet late seventies model 10-speed Peugeot that I purchased, and fixed up here at BBP. Thanks Nate!
